Presidential 2022: 39.2% attendance at noon for the second round of the LR Congress

The final, which pits Éric Ciotti against Valérie Pécresse, will end on Saturday December 4 at 2 p.m.


The votes have started.

Since this Friday morning 8 am, the members of the Republicans are invited to vote for the second round of the ballot aiming to designate the candidate of the right for the presidential election of 2022. At noon, the participation rate was 39.2% , while the activists must decide between Eric Ciotti, who came first in the first round with 25.59%, and Valérie Pécresse, second with 25%.

The second round of this LR congress will end on Saturday December 4 at 2 p.m.

The results will be announced immediately, and the nominated candidate will then be able to launch his campaign, which will begin with a large meeting on December 11.

Participation on the rise at noon

While the LR party had only 79,681 members a few months ago, memberships have multiplied in recent weeks in view of the Congress.

In less than two months, the number of activists has almost doubled.

To date, The Republicans have 139,918 up-to-date members.

Activists who were 80.89% to vote on the whole of the first round, to choose their favorites among the five candidates.

The mobilization also seems to have grown, since participation is up at noon compared to the first round: they were 25.4% to have taken part in the poll at the same time.
