The Lebanese renewed their protests today against the deteriorating economic and living conditions, demanding the return of their money deposited in banks.

The Lebanese National News Agency stated that a number of protesters gathered in front of the Central Bank of Lebanon in the center of the capital, Beirut, demanding approval to withdraw their deposits from banks, and then headed to the main building of the “Fransabank” bank.

As they closed its entrances and prevented its employees from leaving it, confirming that they would continue the sit-in until their demands were implemented.

Another group of protesters stormed the Lebanese Ministry of Public Works and Transport in Beirut.

Since October 2019, many Lebanese regions have witnessed demonstrations and sit-ins in protest against the deteriorating living and economic conditions and to demand the fight against corruption in the country.
