Today, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian fighters prevented American reconnaissance planes from violating the Russian air borders over the waters of the Black Sea.
"The Russian airspace monitoring system detected air targets approaching the borders of the Russian state," the ministry said in a statement, referring to the take-off of two Russian Su-27 and Sukhoi-30 fighters to identify air targets, and it turned out that they were strategic aircraft of the US Air Force.
The statement indicated that the crew of the two Russian planes removed air targets from the Russian airspace of the Black Sea.
Recently, the overflights of foreign spy planes and drones have increased near the Russian borders, especially in the Crimea and Krasnodar regions and the area adjacent to the western borders of the country.
