Often the nature of the clubs is sportive only, and rarely is of a social nature, and the Fatwa Club bears the two characteristics together. It is both sportive and social. Recently, the two qualities were separated financially and administratively, which reflected positively on them.
The head of the Al-Fatwa Social Club, Eng. Mazen Al-Ani, explained to SANA reporter that the Al-Fatwa Social Club targets the poor, the needy, orphans, widows and the afflicted and helps in building and reconstructing the land and developing poor communities, pointing out that the club helps many students to complete their studies and provides assistance to many patients, especially cancer patients, in addition to providing Milk for infants through organized distribution campaigns for children.
Al-Ani added: When the school year began, the club distributed school bags and stationery to more than 400 needy students. It also launched, for the fourth year in a row, the “Do not interrupt the favor” campaign, through which food baskets are distributed to needy families according to special standards set for this purpose that depend on families. The most needy, people with special needs, cancer patients, autism, cerebral palsy and brain atrophy.
And on the separation of the Al-Fatwa Social Club from the Sports Club, the head of the Al-Fatwa Sports Club, Abdul Aziz Madlool, explained that separating the two clubs from each other is logical. The color of “material endowment”, which is rejected in principle, and therefore the next stage will witness the fulfillment of the social sports club with its legal issues and the required licensing to have a relief concern for the segments it targets within well-known standards and controls, pointing out that keeping the name of the fatwa associated with the social club does not violate anything and we support this The club is to have an independent and purely humanitarian entity separate from the sports issue.
Director of Public Relations Ziad Raddawi indicated that the club will be the first of its kind in the field of social work, indicating that it is preparing to carry out many initiatives, including honoring the old cadres of the Al-Fatwa Club and some Syrian football stars and the rest of the games under the auspices of the President of the General Sports Federation Firas Mualla.
The administration of Al-Fatwa Social Club consists of Ghazi Ayyash as honorary president and Mazen Al-Ani as president, and the membership of Dr. Muhammad Al-Faris, Dr. Shahira Al-Shibli, Dr. Nawaf Al-Bashir, Dr. Ahed Shehab, Engineer Adnan Al-Shawa, Engineer Raghad Taha, George Constantine and Manaf Al-Shawa.
