The 32-person delegation arrived in Hong Kong from the Shenzhen Bay Port this afternoon and first attended the welcoming ceremony at the port. The Secretary of Civil Affairs Xu Yingwei was present to greet the delegation.
The delegation will be interviewed by the Hong Kong media at the Harbourview Grand Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui in the afternoon, and will attend the welcome dinner at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition in the evening. Chief Executive Carrie Lam will also be present.
Athletes will demonstrate badminton, fencing, gymnastics and table tennis at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai tomorrow morning. They will also demonstrate diving and swimming in the Victoria Park Swimming Pool. There will be an Olympic athletes parade in the Iraqi Stadium in the afternoon.
