The Centre for Health Protection announced today that an upper respiratory tract infection has occurred in Sau Tak Kindergarten of Hong Kong Ling Liang Church in Lai Chi Kok, involving 21 children aged 2 to 5 years old, all of whom are in stable condition.

Located at Shops 6-8, 1st Floor, West Kowloon West Kowloon Plaza, No. 1 Lai Chi Kok Road, Hong Kong Ling Liang Tong Sau Tak Kindergarten had an outbreak of upper respiratory tract infection. A total of 21 children aged between 2 and 5 who were studying in kindergarten to K3 were infected. , Respectively, 15 males and 6 females.
They have experienced cough, runny nose and sore throat successively since November 2. 11 of them have sought medical treatment from a private doctor and do not need to be hospitalized. They are in stable condition.
The school has been included in the mandatory testing announcement on November 6, and has suspended classes for at least five days to clean up and implement the mandatory testing announcement.
The Centre for Health Protection is satisfied with the sanitary condition of the school.
