Between January and November of this year, the Yau Tsim Police District alone issued 192,595 fixed penalty notices for parking violations, in other words, an increase of 61 million yuan in revenue for the warehouse.
A total of 1,047 beef jerky were issued yesterday (2nd), and 11 vehicles that caused serious traffic jams were towed away.
The police also carried out mobile video enforcement at traffic black spots in the district, focusing on cracking down on drivers' illegal acts of obstructing traffic. A total of 101 vehicles were recorded during this period.
The Yau Tsim Police District stated that it will continue to carry out key traffic enforcement actions to crack down on illegal parking at various black spots in the district, including Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Guolan Reclamation Street in Yau Ma Tei and the West Kowloon Cultural District.
The police said that in addition to ticketing drivers for illegal parking without warning, they would also tow away unguarded vehicles that caused serious obstruction on the road without prior warning and notification.
