The branch of the Syrian Society for Social Development, in cooperation with the High Commissioner for Refugees, held an entertainment event on the occasion of the International Day of People with Special Needs.
A specialist in rehabilitating people with special needs at Beit al-Kul, affiliated with the Syrian Association, Qamar Lulu, told SANA reporter that the initiative, which is being held under the supervision of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, included recreational activities, talent shows, group dances, various games and distribution of gifts to the 150 participating children, pointing out that the aim of The initiative enhances parents' abilities to deal with their children with special needs and integrate them into society.
Mervat Obeid, who accompanied her son to attend the initiative's activities, indicated that the Syrian Society for Social Development, during the past years, has organized many activities for children with special needs to help them integrate into society faster.
The child's mother, Rimas Obaid, said that the activities included in the initiative contributed to improving the psychological factor of her daughter, who participated in the atmosphere of fun and entertainment.
