The classic between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich lived up to expectations as it provided goals, revolutions, moments of controversy and one big drama.
But as in all the last six meetings between the teams in all settings, it also ended with a victory for the Bavarians.
The opening was actually by Dortmund.
Already after five minutes Jude Blingham cooked for Julian Brandt who misled Alfonso Davis and made it 0-1.
The pace in those minutes was insane, and by half-time Bayern had completed the turnaround.
Lewandowski made it 1: 1 four minutes later and a minute before the break Kingsley Coman set up a 1-2 draw for the champions.
Arling Holland, who missed several opportunities in the first half, opened the second half with his 11th goal of the season making it 2-2.
Dortmund were sure they deserved a penalty after a foul on Marco Royce, but a whistle was not heard and on the other side Julian Naglesman's side got their own penalty.
Lewandowski of course was the one who took the kick and with his 17th goal of the season set the result of the game - 2: 3 to Bayern who open a small gap at the top.
