According to a media report, the traffic light coalition is preparing significant tightening of the corona rules for the catering trade at the request of several prime ministers.
As the "Bild" reported in its Saturday edition, work is already being done on a new opening clause for the Infection Protection Act.
This enables further restrictions on the responsibility of the federal states - up to and including the extensive closure of restaurants.
To this end, the Infection Protection Act will be changed in the coming week.
Call for practical regulations
"This will make it possible again for the countries to close clubs and discos as well as restaurants and pubs, in other words to impose a gastro lockdown," said a source in the newspaper.
The new clause was added at the instigation of the federal states, especially Saxony, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
The amended Infection Protection Act should pass the Bundestag by December 12th.
According to the report, the general manager of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga), Ingrid Hartges, was critical of the policy decisions: “They all said there was no lockdown, at least there was no lockdown for those who have been vaccinated, and now we have the salad. ”She demanded“ practical, proportionate regulations ”from the state governments.
2G-Plus is not one of them, emphasized Hartges.
