KMB decided to extend the senior citizens’ weekend and free rides on Sundays in December. KMB stated that on all Saturdays and Sundays in December, including the Christmas holiday for a total of 9 days, seniors can ride 81 KMB cross-harbour lines and all R lines for free Travel line.
However, the free ride will be processed in a "ride-and-rebate" manner. Elderly persons who enjoy the discount must hold an elderly Octopus card and take the card to deduct money as usual when boarding the bus. After 10 working days, use the same Octopus to ride the bus, or For consumption and value-added, the fare will be automatically refunded to the Octopus card.
KMB pointed out that on December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, and 27, the elderly can take 81 KMB routes across the harbour on the basis of a "ride-and-rebate" method, and if they enter R tourist routes such as the 96R route in Saigon.
Some cross-harbour routes are operated by joint ventures. Elderly people should pay attention when crossing the harbour. Only the KMB has a free ride plan.
This offer also does not include the two star-rated buses P960 and P968 cross-harbour routes.
