Today, the Executive Committee of the General Sports Federation branch in As-Suwayda honored the sports heroes who made achievements with the national teams in the external benefits and the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army who achieved advanced positions in the first Wounded Home Championship.
The honoring, which was hosted by the Culture Palace theater in the city of As-Suwayda, with the attendance of sports, official and civil events, included 102 players and coaches in 12 games, during which a short film was shown highlighting the sports activities held in the governorate in various games during the last period, in addition to a paragraph on the Karate game of Shaka Club presented by a number of the Republic’s heroes under the supervision of coach Hossam Ghaith.
Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation branch in Sweida, Tariq Al-Afif, pointed out during his speech the importance of honoring the athletes whose championships extended to reach external forums and raise the national flag in them, in order to motivate them to continue sports excellence, which reflects the concerted efforts of all players and coaches and their responsibility in the field of sports.
In turn, the honorees expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Sports Federation for this initiative, stressing the importance of continuing support for them to follow up on their achievements, while expressing their willingness to continue training and work to improve their level for the better.
