(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 04 - The last day of the Rome MED- Mediterranean Dialogues Conference, now in its seventh edition and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ISPI, kicks off today in Rome.


    The working session will be opened by a panel dedicated to the cooperation between the European Union and the Sahel in which the special representative of the EU, Emanuela Del Re, will participate. This will be followed by a speech by the EU Commissioner for the Economy, Paolo Gentiloni, and then some dedicated meetings. to resilience in the Mediterranean area after the pandemic, Libya, with the participation of the president of ISPI, Giampiero Massolo, the decarbonisation of the electricity sector in the wider Mediterranean, with the intervention of Claudio Descalzi, Eni's managing director.

In the afternoon, the intervention of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, is expected.


    The conference will be closed by Massolo and the Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio.
