The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohamed Seif El-Din, discussed today with the Director of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development Alexei Began areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance them and provide facilities for the implementation of development projects.
The Minister of Social Affairs pointed to the need to expedite the completion of existing projects that provide vocational training and help build the capacities of entrants to the labor market, explaining that the organization's work plan, which includes launching 6 vocational training centers in several governorates in cooperation with the Ministry during the first quarter of next year, enhances the labor market system and completes its work In this area.
For his part, Nidal Bitar, representative of the European Institute Organization in Syria, indicated that the organization, in cooperation with the Ministry, is implementing two projects, the first concerned with the paths of rehabilitating young people and providing funding for their pioneering projects through vocational training centers spread in a number of areas in the Syrian countryside. The second project is implemented in Latakia and aims to build the capacities of about 1,800 young men and women.
It is worth mentioning that the European Institute for Cooperation and Development is a non-profit humanitarian organization established in 1988.
