After investigation by the police, a 59-year-old male resident of the same housing estate was arrested, but was later confirmed to have nothing to do with the case and was released.

Nearly three months later, the police arrested another 37-year-old man surnamed Chen. He was charged with one crime of loitering and will appear in Fanling Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (4th) morning.

The police stated that they received a report from the public on September 7 stating that a man dressed as a woman wandered outside a unit in a Tuen Mun housing estate at about 1 a.m., during which the man had opened the iron gate of a unit and opened the wooden door. However, the head of the household in the unit noticed that he immediately fled.

Later, the head of the household called the police for help.

After investigation and intelligence analysis, the Criminal Division of the Tuen Mun Police District identified a man involved in the case. He arrested a 37-year-old local man surnamed Chen in Tuen Mun yesterday (2nd) for loitering and seized relevant exhibits at his residence. Including some women's clothing and cosmetics.

The arrested man was formally charged with one offence of loitering today. The case will appear in Fanling Magistracy tomorrow morning.

The police reiterated that the loitering offence is a criminal offence and the maximum sentence is two years in prison once convicted.

The police urged citizens not to try the law by themselves.

On September 8, the police arrested a 59-year-old resident of the same housing estate. It is reported that the police confirmed that the man had nothing to do with the case after investigation.
