In this election, 6,521 people voted, which is close to 3 years ago, and the turnout rate is 24.3% higher than 3 years ago.
The 7-member "enlightened faction" team including Li Wenluo, Wu Ruiming, Zhong Weilin, He Shimin, Huang Jinjuan, Lu Fengping and Lin Zhaohuan were all elected, and Chen Guobang ranked eighth in the vote.
The Social Work Registration Board is composed of 15 people, 8 of whom are elected, 6 are appointed by the Chief Executive, and the remaining 1 seat is the Director of Social Services or his representative.
This is the first time that the "enlightened faction" has less than 8 people running for the election. Among the 7 people, only Wu Ruiming is seeking re-election. He became the "vote king" with 5,021 votes.
