Île-de-France: spokesperson for a police union accused of sexual harassment

Two policewomen explain having received messages of a sexual nature from this colleague, while they were seeking information for a transfer. An investigation was opened in July by the Paris prosecutor's office.


The case would have arisen after several months of exchanges between a trade unionist and a 35-year-old policewoman.

, the spokesperson for the Unity SGP-FO union for the Île-de-France region Rocco Contento would have dangled a transfer to this colleague, by sending her messages of a sexual nature.

An investigation for “sexual harassment” was opened by the Paris prosecutor's office in July 2021,

, Rocco Contento would have contacted this 30-something in March 2020, when the policewoman had just published a message on the union's Facebook page to have information concerning a transfer to another department.

Also according to the daily, another female police officer, aged 34, was also said to have been the victim of such acts.

The police officer also contacted her by private message in April 2020, when she had just asked a question about her transfer to the Facebook group of Unity SGP Paris.
