An IDF invalid who was not recognized as a post-trauma victim was found dead in his home
Following the incident, the IDF Disabled Organization blamed: "We are shocked and hurt by his suicide.
This is what we are constantly shouting about: "There are IDF disabled people who have been waiting for recognition of their disability for years and are not receiving the proper treatment."
The Ministry of Defense, however, denied responsibility for the case, claiming that it was a disease that the deceased contracted after his release

Isaac Chen, 48-year-old disabled veteran, was found this morning dead in his home in Jerusalem. Chen was recognized as a disabled person following a physical injury during his service, but was not recognized as a victim of PTSD.
Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization issued a message following the incident stating: "We Painful and shocked following the suicide of an IDF disabled Yitzhak.
This is exactly what we shout all the time: "There are IDF disabled people who have been waiting for recognition of their disability for years, fall between the cracks in passing time and do not receive proper treatment."
According to the organization, as part of the recently implemented "One Soul" reform, extensive attention is paid to the issue.
The organization says it will continue to address the issue until it is fully resolved, and will fight for "improving the entrance gate in medical committees, as well as recognizing comorbidities associated with post-trauma."

The Ministry of Defense said he "shares the family's deep sorrow and is examining the circumstances of the incident".
The response further stated: "Preliminary investigation indicates that the background is in fact not related to post-trauma but to another illness that cannot be specified for reasons of medical confidentiality."
However, the Ministry of Defense denied the responsibility that the IDF disabled organization allegedly placed on him for Yitzhak's condition. "After his release, they were denied, both by the Magistrate's Court and the District Court. This is in the absence of a causal connection between the illness and his military service."
The Ministry of Defense added that the rest of the details are under investigation.
