The women's basketball team of Elitzur Neve David Ramla today (Sunday) signed American guard Courtney Williams (27, 1.73 meters) for a period of one month as a replacement for Kelsey Mitchell who broke her nose in the second round of the Athena Wiener Women's Basketball League and has not yet fully recovered.
Williams, a graduate of the University of South Florida in her ranks, played between 2012 and 2016 and was selected eighth in the WNBA Draft by Phoenix Mercury.
She also played for Connecticut Sun and last summer played for Atlanta Dream where she averaged 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per 34 minutes of play.
She represented the United States at the 2015 Universiade Games in Korea and was a partner in the United States winning this medal.
Williams has international experience beyond the U.S. She has played in Australia, Turkey, Italy and Puerto Rico.
