The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, stressed the importance of the role that professional unions play in the country’s societal and economic life as an essential and effective partner in the work of all components of the state, taking and making decisions that affect its affiliates in particular, defending their rights and working to solve the difficulties they encounter in coordination and cooperation with various government agencies.
While chairing a meeting of the heads of professional unions today, Eng. Arnous reviewed the current economic reality and government efforts to increase production in various sectors, secure more job opportunities, provide the basic needs of citizens and local market requirements of various basic commodities and materials such as oil derivatives, wheat and others, as well as what is being worked on in coordination with unions And professional organizations and unions to deliver support in a transparent and accurate way to its true beneficiaries from low-income, retired, and income-free people, and to develop the programs of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in the field of social support provided to families in need.
The Prime Minister affirmed the government's continuation of providing support to professional unions and securing the requirements for their work in various fields, enabling them to play a major and supportive role for government work in a manner that achieves the supreme national interest.
During the meeting, the importance of continuous communication between ministries and unions was emphasized to see the government’s plan in the various economic, social, development and service sectors, to develop the work of these unions, and to improve the living conditions of its affiliates through moving towards investment work, enhancing revenues, and the need to develop legislation for the work of each union and expand its role in the field of Preparing qualified and trained cadres that meet the needs of the labor market in the next phase, as well as the continuation of professional syndicates to provide services to citizens with acceptable quality and prices, and to provide support to those affiliated with these unions through their affiliated funds.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of public works, housing, justice, finance, health, the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the heads of the unions of engineers, dentists, agricultural engineers, pharmacists, financial and accounting professions, contractors, lawyers, teachers, veterinarians, nursing, paramedical professions, artists, and the deputy head of the Doctors Syndicate.
