The FDP has accepted the coalition agreement with the SPD and the Greens with a large majority.
At a digital party congress on Sunday there were 535 votes in favor, 37 against and 8 abstentions for the 177-page paper for the formation of the first traffic light government at the federal level.
The FDP calculated an approval of more than 92 percent.
On Saturday, an SPD party congress approved the coalition agreement with more than 98 percent of the delegate's votes.
The result of the strike vote among the Greens is also expected on this Monday.
»Coalition Agreement for a Middle Policy«
Before the vote, deputy chairman Johannes Vogel said it was right to take responsibility now.
"The coalition agreement (...) expects everyone - including us," he admitted.
However, progress from the middle can only be achieved if you also take a step towards others.
"And we need progress because there has been too much common denominator in Germany in recent years, too much just driving on sight," said Vogel.
In terms of megatrends such as digitization, decarbonization and demography, Germany is therefore in a bad position.
