Today, Iraqi forces launched a large-scale security operation to hunt down the remnants of ISIS terrorists in Diyala, in the center of the country.
An Iraqi security source told SANA’s reporter in Baghdad, “The operation was launched from six axes in the Thalab basin in the area between Khanaqin, Naft Khana and Imam Bass districts, to besiege the terrorists from all directions, to cordon off them and not allow them to escape, and to search this mountainous region in search of remnants of the terrorist organization and destroying its hideouts.” .
The Iraqi forces are continuing their operations in several areas to purge them of the remnants of ISIS terrorists.
