Man in Quarry Bay Fitness Center fainted while lifting dumbbells and died after being sent to hospital for rescue

At about 10 pm on Sunday (4th), the police received a report at the King’s Building, King’s Road, Quarry Bay, in a 24-hour fitness center. A 38-year-old man surnamed Cheng fainted suspected of being unwell during fitness. Police Attendance


At about 10 pm on Sunday (4th), the police received a report at the King’s Building, King’s Road, Quarry Bay, in a 24-hour fitness center. A 38-year-old man surnamed Cheng fainted suspected of being unwell during fitness. Police The staff arrived at the scene and found that the male victim was unconscious. The ambulancemen sent the unconscious male victim to the Eastern District Hospital for emergency treatment.

Sources at the scene stated that the man was lifting dumbbells before the incident. Afterwards, the staff found the man fainted and called the police for assistance.

It is understood that the man has a history of illness.

As of 1:47 am on Monday, the male victim's rescue failed and was certified dead.
