Opinion | There is another communication Israel today

In a sober calculation, Channel 14 is an expression of a growing and innovative phenomenon. • The conceptual line in its broadcasts expresses the common denominator for media and cultural bodies, as already mentioned in this list.

As a regular viewer of news and current affairs, I was surprised when the sign invited me to watch the new Channel 14 program, one of whose two guests was Uri Zaki, chairman of the Meretz board. And an hour or two later, also on this channel, I was invited to watch a lengthy Musi Raz, also a Meretz man.

As a member of the right-wing camp, I have repeatedly expressed my displeasure with the contents of the three great channels 11, 12 and 13.

I was annoyed, like many viewers, at the broadcast of biased reports.

But there is someone on the Channel 14 news editorial team who estimated that there are curious right-wingers who also know about the prevailing moods in the opposing camp.

However, the presence in the studios of two Meretz executives does not indicate a balance trend in Channel 14 reports. That is not why the former Channel 20 identification literature has been revived.

But it is essential to pay attention to the phenomenon that may indicate a strengthening of right-wing positions, and not just in electronic communication.

Refers to high-quality cultural islands planted in the ocean of the media rival on the left.

Thus, for example, the establishment of "Israel Today" shows that the gestures of contempt sent to this newspaper only prove that its existence is a worthy substitute in the eyes of many readers.

So is the success of the Sela Meir publishing house, which, in my opinion, is amazing in marketing books from the fields of biography, the environment, beliefs and opinions, and more.

They all express conservative, liberal attitudes, in the settled style of the 19th century.

These publications have so far been almost absent from the shelves of bookstores.

One might get the impression that literary critics find a matter-of-fact, even sympathetic, reference to Sela Meir's books.

And more: the radio station "Gali Israel", which expresses a right line from which there is no distinct.

This is a right-wing ideological line that is not found in a similar intensity of expression on other radio stations.

To all this must be added Makor Rishon, a weekly whose content is of a national-religious tone, and whose authors produce articles whose contents are thought-provoking.

In sober calculation, Channel 14 is a growing and innovating phenomenon.

The conceptual line in his broadcasts expresses the common denominator for media and cultural bodies, as already mentioned in this list.

The arrogance that often characterizes the opponent's expressions on the left is hollow and completely tortured on a shaky basis.

The confrontation between these two cultural camps does not herald a kind of civil war, God forbid, but the readers or listeners - they deserve not to take seriously the arrogance projected on the left.

And on the right-wing camp, the need for culture as many, the duty to erase the feeling of inferiority, if any, applies.

Our cultural consumer must shift his gaze and taste from left to right, and vice versa.
