This is how justice has been going since Frédéric Veaux, the director of the national police force, came to announce to the prosecutors and general prosecutors, during the
"days of the public prosecution"
, that the great reform of the police would take place from January 1, 2023. This reform creates, at the departmental level, a single structure which will house the four main professions of the police - public security, border police, territorial intelligence and judicial police - all under the sole authority of a departmental director of the national police, henceforth privileged interlocutor of the judicial authority.
