The Central African Republic, protectorate of Wagner's Russian paramilitaries

STORY - This private group, funded by an oligarch close to Vladimir Putin, has not stopped growing since arriving in Bangui in 2018.


The monument was placed on November 29, on one of the main avenues of Bangui, at the corner of the university.

The Stalinist style of the statue would have been enough to sign its provenance, but the bronze-like silhouettes remove the last doubts.

We see four soldiers, two Russians and two Central Africans, facing invisible enemies and protecting a woman and two children.

The pompous group was immediately inaugurated by President Faustin-Archange Touadéra.
