In recent years, our awareness of the importance of the cycle issue has been growing. Climate change and other problems have finally led to the public understanding that we must preserve the planet, separate waste and recycle wisely and these are messages that are especially important to pass on to the next and younger generation, the one who has already grown up offering different recycling options.

But how do you teach kids to start recycling? How do you turn the operation of separating the various materials into something automatic, which has been on their minds since a young age? Here are some interesting ideas that will help you, the parents, get your kids started and teach them about menstruation.

Download the apps:

Kids start playing with our smartphones from a very early age, and you can easily connect them to the messages we want them to convey, instead of just letting them waste their time in front of the small screen.

In the digital stores you will find quite a few interesting apps, with games that teach about recycling.

For example, a few years ago, the Tamom recycling corporation Catomolo became a great success among children, and now you can already find the sequel - Catomolo 2.0.

In every app store on iPhone or Android, a variety of great games and apps about recycling and the environment are waiting for you, such that the children will fly over them.

Read them books:

Children's books that deal with the cycle are a great idea. Make it a habit - one day a week, before bed, read a book on the subject. If you want to go for the classics, enable "Redhead or an Environmental Boat" and recently released "Greta and the Giants", inspired by the girl Greta Thonberg, who became famous for her fight for the environment. A few more successful options: "The Green Hill," "The Man Who Loved Trees," "The Cheerful Preserves the Environment," "Adventures in the World of Recycling" and "Nebo and Arbel recycle without getting confused."

Go out with them:

children love to feel and touch things, see up close with their eyes and take an active part in the experience. This is how they learn and apply and therefore, it is important not to do all the activities only between the four walls of the house, but to go out with them, reach the recycling bins in the different colors located in your neighborhood and let them throw any packaging and material into the bin. tip:Take some stickers with you, and every time the child is right about the color of the tin, give them one.

Do creative work:

coloring pages, drawings and of course, useful works for the home from recycled materials (say, a writing instrument holder made from a can) - all of which will help you instill in children the fun of recycling and reuse.

Let them get a little dirty with need, with glue, paints, etc., so that they feel the ingredients.

In the process, explain to them what everything once was (e.g., a jar of jam jar) and why we are going to make it now (part of our new menorah).

Finally, do not forget to set an example:

This may seem like the most banal suggestion, but at the end of the day, our children look at us and imitate everything we do.

No matter how much we teach them about recycling and encourage them to start recycling - if they do not see us doing it ourselves, it just will not work.

So yes, you came back from a long day at work, you prepared food for everyone and now the packaging of the white cheese is empty and the regular tin is open right in front of your eyes, but with so little effort, you can throw the packaging in a separate bin / bag with the rest of the packaging. Up to the bin and show them that one bag is thrown in the green bin and the other, with the packaging that the whole family separated - into the appropriate recycling bins.

These simple actions for us, are a whole world for our children and the best way to teach them about the importance of recycling and how to recycle properly.
