In a very tense atmosphere, in the shadow of repeated attempts by his political opponents to attack and silence him, last night Arik Zamor, the Jewish journalist and writer who last week announced his candidacy for the presidency of France, held his first political conference as part of the presidential race.

In front of about 15,000 supporters, who were gathered according to the organizers at the exhibition park not far from the Roissy airport on the outskirts of the French capital, Zamor declared his party's name - "re-occupation".

The inspiration for it is the "Reconquista" - the process of reconquest of Spain by the Christians from the Muslims, starting from the eighth century AD.

"Reconquista" is one of the fundamental ideas of the "Identity" movement, which is considered by many Western European countries to be an extreme right-wing movement.

"Today begins the reconquest of our economy, of our sovereignty, of our identity, of our country," Zamor declared to the roars of support of his fans.

"Our movement begins today the struggle for France."

Zamor's inaugural rally in the presidential race was an impressive show of political power.

The rally was moved almost at the last minute to a larger complex, given the large number of fans who wanted to take part in the event.

The conference was held under extremely heavy security measures, due to threats from far-left elements to harm the psalmist and his supporters.

"Not a day goes by without me being attacked," Zamor enthused his fans.

"They call me in all possible condemnations. But the real purpose is not me, but you. If they despise me it is, because they despise you. If they despise me, it is because they despise you."

President of all

In a long speech, which was interrupted countless times with shouts from the crowd "President Zamor", Zamor detailed his political plan.

He stressed the principles of mass immigration policy he intends to implement, having submitted it to the French for approval in a referendum.

The plan includes the deportation of all illegal immigrants found on French soil;

Immediate deportation of all criminal immigrants;

Denial of citizenship of criminals with dual citizenship;

Tightening of French citizenship laws;

Cancellation of social assistance for immigrants;

And outlawing all "humanitarian" organizations that assist in illegal immigration.

However, Zamor emphasized: "We reach out to all Muslims who live in France, and who want to be our brothers, who want to be French."

Many of the participants in the rally were young people from various parts of France, from the "Generation of Zamor" movement, or "Generation 7", which is the popular engine behind Zamor's presidential campaign.

Zmour's supporters repeatedly sing the French national anthem - the Marseilles, the anthem of the French Revolution - and emphasize more and more the words "Tyranny stands against us."

"I do not care if Zamor is a Jew or a Christian," says 21-year-old Arwen, who will vote in national elections for the first time this April.

"He wants to make France a strong country again, and that's the point."
