SANA- The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission warned of the deterioration of the health of a Palestinian prisoner as a result of the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation against him.
In a statement today, carried by Ma'an Agency, the commission said that the prisoner, Riad Al-Amour, 52, from the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank, suffers from a difficult health condition in the occupation's prisons, as a result of a heart attack five days ago, after he felt severe pain and a sudden health illness, pointing out that the occupation refuses to provide The necessary treatment is what threatens his life.
The Commission indicated that the prisoner, who has entered his twentieth year in the occupation’s prisons since his arrest in 2002, suffers from severe heart problems, as there is a pacemaker in his chest and needs to be changed every nine years, but the occupation is still procrastinating in changing it.
About five thousand Palestinian prisoners inside the occupation prisons face harsh detention conditions, including 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
