Rif Dimashq-SANA
The Directorate of Agriculture in Rif Dimashq Governorate, in cooperation with the Syrian Society for Social Development and the High Commissioner for Refugees, distributed agricultural and pastoral grants to 219 farmers and 324 educators, distributed in the Duma area and the towns of Al-Nashabiyeh, Kafr Batna and Hatita Al-Jrash.
Director of Agriculture in Damascus Countryside, Engineer Irfan Ziadeh, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the grant included fruitful plants, fertilizers, agricultural equipment, sprayers and insecticides, while the pastoralism included pregnant ewes and fodder, pointing out that grants are provided periodically to farmers in order to enhance self-reliance in the local community, advance the agricultural sector and raise the level of Farmer's livelihood.
Ziadeh stated that there is a continuous follow-up to farmers and breeders in the towns of Eastern Ghouta to enable all farmers to fully invest their lands and increase the number of livestock that were lost as a result of terrorism.
