The animal rights organization PETA (or "People for a Moral Treatment of Animals" in Hebrew) has chosen singer Billy Aylish as its 2021 wife of the year.
19-year-old Aylish, a vegan from the age of 12, won the award for her vigorous activity in stopping the use of animal fur and encouraging the transition to veganism.
For that matter she agreed to wear this year to the Mat Gala (a prestigious fashion event held annually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York) a dress from the Oscar de la Renta, but only on condition that the company agreed to stop using fur in all its items - and the company did agree.
Also, at the Met Gala itself only vegan dishes were served, much thanks to the young star who even established her status as a fashion icon - vegan of course.

Please: This year, Aylish, in collaboration with Nike, launched a collection of vegan Air Jordan shoes, along with a vegan perfume and even its own vegan chocolate snack, which hit the shelves just a few weeks ago.
The certificate of appreciation received by Eliasch from PETA (pictured) states that she "fights for animal rights, is not silent in light of injustice, and exploits her power of influence to make the fashion industry recognize that cruelty (towards animals - DP) is never Not in style. "
Previous famous winners of the PETA Man / Woman of the Year award include actors Joaquin Phoenix and Angelica Houston, TV anchor Oprah Winfrey, network star Tabitha Brown and even Pope Francis - an environmental activist and avid animal lover.
