Today, a Madagascar court indicted twenty people, including two Frenchmen, of plotting the assassination of Madagascar's President Andre Rajoelina, and on other charges.
Reuters reported that the court formally charged at the start of the trial with criminal conspiracy, participation in a criminal organization, rebellion against the president and possession of weapons without a license.
Some of these defendants were arrested in July and others in August, and officials gave no details of the extent of the plot when the arrests took place.
