The (Official Boots) team from Al-Baath University in Homs qualified to participate in the global programming competition after it ranked 15th in the regional final of the university programming competition in the Arab world and Africa for the year 2021, which was held recently in Luxor, Egypt.
Dr. Abdul-Basit Al-Khatib, President of Al-Baath University, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the university team that participated in the regional programming competition and achieved good results qualified it to represent Syria in the global finals, pointing to the university’s constant support for its distinguished students to achieve greater achievements at the global level, which contributes to raising the university’s global ranking. .
Dr. Fadi Morshed, coordinator of the programming competition at Al-Baath University, indicated that the competition, which took place within the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Luxor, included two rounds, the first experimental, which took place last Saturday, and the second official, which was held yesterday, and lasted for five continuous hours, and included high-level programming issues, pointing out that each team One of the participating teams consisted of three members and a trainer working on one computer to solve a set of problems programmatically.
Al-Baath University participated in the competition with two teams, the first, the Official Potts, which included coach Tony Makdissi and the participants Ahmed Al-Hussein, Ahmed Sarhan and Muhannad Rahhal. The second team (In Italy there are Pesticos) included coach Naseem Daghestani and individuals Musa Sioufi, Murad Tulaimat and Nawar Ali.
