Brockard talks about her relationship with the ghost Eduardo (ITV)

A woman whose sanity is in doubt claims to have received a marriage proposal from her lover - the ghost of a Victorian soldier - and she told him "yes".

She claims she woke up one day to discover a diamond ring on her pillow and a question mark left on the mirror in the bathtub.

Wait, her story gets more psychic later on.

Brockard, 38, a singer and songwriter from Oxfordshire, England, met Eduardo earlier this year, the ghost of a Victorian-era soldier with whom she began a complex relationship.

Eduardo, who according to Brookard, died prematurely at the age of 35 after falling into a well, appeared one night at her home and has not let her go since.

The two began running a rather tumultuous system, she said, until it decided to reveal their affair on ITV's morning show, "This Morning."

She claims that after exposing him - he decided to break up with her and only become violent towards her.

Brockard told the Daily Star that Eduardo punished her and ignored all her attempts to communicate with him.

After a period of disconnection, Brockard was able to win back his heart (or what was not there) by writing a love song for her man, which she dedicated to Eduardo on Halloween. Brocard recounted: "I could not find a guide 'How to win back your spiritual lover' - so I was creative. I decided to treat him like a real man and give him the night he had been waiting for all his life. I use songwriting as a way to deal with my feelings, so Eduardo was a subject To sing a great love song. "

She added: "On Halloween night I grabbed my songbook and wrote a tribute to Eduardo. I covered the room with hundreds of rose petals, lit dozens of candles and spent hours in the kitchen to make a festive meal that even Nigela Lawson would envy. I decided not to make a feast. Victorian, because obviously Eduardo has an interest in the modern woman, so I came to the conclusion that he should experience modern cuisine.I cooked a cheeseburger and cheeseYeps and I found out that ghosts love chocolate milkshakes! ".

Brockard sang him the romantic song and waited for Eduardo to appear in front of her in his preferred method - a flashing candle.

As she sings, she claims all the candles in the room suddenly went out.

She recalls: "I could feel Eduardo's hands on my back. It was a fascinating moment that moved me deeply. I kept singing and the candles lit again, Eduardo sang along with me by flickering the flames after each line in the song."

Then came the offer ...

A week after the sulha came the marriage proposal: "One morning I woke up and found a ring on my pillow," Brockard said, "she dug into her there on the sides of my cheek. The ring. I thought I was dreaming and I think I fell asleep again. When I woke up, the ring was gone. I went to take a shower and noticed that a question mark appeared in the steam on the mirror. "But this time I woke up and found the ring. Again, a question mark appeared in the steam on the mirror in the shower. It was then that the token fell - Eduardo offered me marriage."

Brockard did not know what to do with the romantic proposal, felt a "crazy mix" of emotions - but eventually replied "yes".

She added: "This makes her a pretty crazy adventure, so much so that I almost felt obligated to say 'yes'. It felt like a decision that was not really mine, as if I had been chosen in some way. I put the ring on my finger to show the spirit I agreed to his offer. "When I did that, I felt a warm feeling around my body, so I knew that Eduardo understood my answer."

"How will he pay a mortgage?"

While the couple is in a good place today, the singer claims she is definitely worried about their future together.

She said: "It has always bothered me that the level of super-normative activity is very intense. It felt like a very toxic relationship even though he is just a ghost. He is not the most reliable and always seems to have to be in his conditions. Can such a toxic and turbulent romance work "In marriage? How will I know if he is cheating on me with other women? How will he pay a mortgage? I mean, will I just find big piles of cash on my pillow like happened with the ring?".

Despite her reservations, Brookard is planning a wedding that will pay homage to Eduardo's Victorian roots.

She said: "The wedding will be like a haunted romantic legend. I love the Victorian era - it inspires the clothes I design and I can't wait to start working on my dream wedding dress."

Speaking about the big day, Brockard said: "I do not think I can stand a meeting with his relatives. One ghost is enough for me. We may have to run away and find a small white chapel in Las Vegas. We may have to settle for a wedding at the registry office. Exorcism to Eduardo. "
