Today, the Iraqi police arrested a terrorist who planned and attempted to detonate an explosive device in the city of Kadhimiya, north of the capital, Baghdad.
And Alsumaria News quoted the Iraqi Security Media Cell as saying in a statement: “The police forces managed to arrest a terrorist who was planning and trying to detonate an explosive device in a market in the city of Kadhimiya,” noting that after the investigation with this terrorist, all members of a terrorist network were arrested. The cell added: The process of arresting the terrorist took place inside a hotel in the city of Kadhimiya, and he is the brother of the terrorist who detonated an explosive device in the same city last June, and he is currently arrested, and his criminal plan was thwarted.
The Iraqi forces are continuing their operations in several areas to purge them of the remnants of ISIS terrorists.
