Bozhi Perception Interactive Research Center encourages and assists start-up companies to make scientific research results more in line with the actual needs of reindustrialization.

The Bozhi team has accumulated rich research experience and achievements in computer vision, multilingual speech and language technology, natural language processing and artificial intelligence product design and automated production.

100% safe driving

The center is currently committed to researching smart car decision-making systems. The person in charge explained that the systems used by smart cars are better at recognizing road conditions, but in terms of decision-making, programmers need to input the actual conditions into the program one by one. For example, if the pedestrian is on the left, the vehicle should turn right.

However, the center has developed a set of simulators to simulate road conditions, and then use efficient methods for AI learning, that is, human experts and AI drive at the same time, but the experts will only control the vehicle in dangerous situations. This method can increase the learning efficiency by 50 times. And to ensure 100% safe driving.

Another research direction is to use artificial intelligence to make the most suitable clothes, because people have various postures. For example, tailors in suits cannot accurately measure whether the clothes are comfortable during activities.

The center is equipped with a whole-body measuring instrument with 74 cameras and 4 projectors. It only takes 0.0002 seconds to take a hard photo, and the whole process only takes 20 minutes.

In addition, the center also has another smart textile machine, in which the spinning process is fully automated, and it only takes more than one hour to spin an adult sweater.

The Hong Kong Logistics Robotics Research Center has received research support from the University of California at Berkeley. It mainly develops robots and artificial intelligence technologies for future workplaces, and is an urgent issue in the logistics industry.

Provide innovative solutions.

Especially focus on intelligent perception, intelligent interaction, intelligent control and intelligent movement, etc., to enhance the intelligence of robots.

It seeks innovative breakthroughs in applied robots and artificial intelligence technologies. Currently, the center has supplied different products to DHL and Alibaba.

The containers at the container terminal are fastened by different iron buckles and need to be unlocked by hand.

However, because the container terminals are still operating under inclement weather and are extremely dangerous, no new blood has joined the industry, causing faults.

However, the logistics task automation solution system can use machines to remove the iron buckle, avoiding the problem of manpower shortage.

Cen Meixia, vice president of CUHK, said that this center is different from universities. The university is mainly responsible for project-based research, but the center is focused on specific areas and has the resources to research and apply innovation, hoping to advance to product research and development, and at the same time help start-up companies gain a foothold and cultivate Talent and employment opportunities.
