Addis Ababa-SANA
The Ethiopian government announced today that it has regained control of the two main northern cities of Disi and Kombolcha, more than a month after the Tigray People's Liberation Front fighters claimed control of them.
"The historic commercial and industrial towns of Disi and Kombolcha were liberated by the joint security forces," the government's media office was quoted by AFP as saying.
Last Wednesday, the Ethiopian authorities announced the restoration of control of the Lalibela site, which is included in the UNESCO heritage list.
