A car accident occurred in Yuen Long. At nearly 1 am, a bicycle and a private car reportedly collided on the Yuen Long section of Castle Peak Road near Fung Cheung Road. The 40-year-old cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Tuen Mun by an ambulance.

Nearly 1 am, a bicycle and a private car reportedly collided on the Yuen Long section of Castle Peak Road near Fung Cheung Road. The 40-year-old cyclist suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital by ambulance; The 61-year-old male driver of the private car was not injured and was present to assist in the investigation.

The police are investigating the cause of the car accident.


The police stated that the scene was at the junction of Yuen Long Fung Cheung Road and Castle Peak Road-Yuen Long Section.

According to reports, at 0:53 am, a private car was driving along Fengxiang Road towards Castle Peak Road-Yuen Long Section, while a bicycle was travelling along Fengxiang Road towards Ma Tong Road. When reaching the address, the two vehicles collided.

Officers arrived at the scene. After preliminary investigations, a 61-year-old private car driver with the surname Zeng was arrested on suspicion of "dangerous driving causing serious bodily harm to others" and is currently being detained for investigation.

A 40-year-old female bicycle driver surnamed Xie suffered head injuries and was in a coma. She was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.
