The authorities in Belarus announced the arrest of a group of five people who, last August, threw a Molotov cocktail at a police building.
Russia Today website quoted the Ministry of the Interior of Belarus as saying today in a statement that the group's goal was to set fire to administrative and service buildings and the personal cars of the police in order to destabilize the situation in the country and disrupt the work of the authorities.
The statement indicated that a criminal case has been opened against the group for attempting to commit a terrorist act, which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
