A senior Hamas source told Al-Jazeera today (Monday) that the terrorist organization is considering options for escalation with Israel in light of the continued siege and delay in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the source attacked Egypt and said it was preventing thousands from leaving Gaza without justification.

The source told the Qatari network that "the Israeli attacks on al-Aqsa and the attack on prisoners will blow up the situation anew."

He claimed that the terrorist organization "will not allow the continuation of the current situation and the next period will prove what we said".

The source expressed dissatisfaction with the Egyptian mediator's behavior and reservations about his promises to Gaza.

"Egypt has waived its obligation to oblige Israel (to facilitate) in exchange for charging resistance to calm," the source said, adding: "The Egyptians did not keep their promises to Hamas and factions to rehabilitate and facilitate Gaza."

Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen visited Algeria. Following the visit, Algeria promised to donate one hundred million dollars to the PA.

A conference of factions in the country will also be held soon.
