In support of the educational process… A group of old teachers in the town of Al-Quraya in As-Suwayda, in cooperation with the local community, the town’s expatriates, the administration of the Martyr Ghazi Al-Debs High School and the educational complex, launched the “Let’s Light a Candle” initiative.
The coordinator of the initiative, Muthanna Alam Al-Din, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that evening classrooms were equipped with all their requirements, including lighting and heating, in the secondary school headquarters for study by certificate students in the town daily from two in the afternoon until eight in the evening, and that there is supervision of the halls by volunteers from The educational corps and the local community, at the rate of four supervisors per day, with close follow-up from the secondary administration and the educational complex.
Alameddin pointed out that retirees and the elderly were also involved in the initiative’s supervisory body to enhance their sense of the possibility of their contribution to the public service even after retirement, indicating that within the next two weeks the initiative will also support students with free strengthening and review sessions in all subjects, while providing the necessary wages for teachers. .
Alameddine stated that the initiative stems from the importance of investing in the field of education, alleviating the burden of difficult economic conditions on the people, and finding helpful solutions in light of the long and frequent power cuts and the shortage of fuel.
