The finance minister said the law was postponed until after the budget, but the parties' coalition commitment was to pass the law within 60 days

Factional meetings are being held today (Monday) in the Knesset against the background of the wave of terrorist attacks, including the stampede attack at the Tanim crossing and the stabbing attack at the Nablus Gate.

The Yisrael Beiteinu party convened for a meeting at 14:00.

Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said, "We are determined to advance the coalition commitment of all parties, to conversion by city rabbis. It was decided that within 60 days the law would pass and we agreed to postpone it until after the budget."

Lieberman stressed, "We are talking about something specific, we do not want it to fall into the struggles of the broad outline."

When asked by one of the journalists whether his former friend MK Aryeh Deri was tortured for not making the legal decision in his case, he replied that "it is the duty of the State Attorney's Office to work fast, and justice stations must increase the pace.

"I guess Mandelblit will try to clear the table before he leaves."

Later, the Likud parties and Yesh Atid will convene at 14:30, the Meretz party at 14:50 and the Blue and White party at 15:00.
