Two things are particularly remarkable in this immense green countryside.

Nurseries, which would almost look like giant little children's houses - there are a lot of them, they are very large and transparent -, and two-lane roundabouts, a little revolution for insiders.

For the rest, the area located three quarters of an hour south of Amsterdam airport, the busiest in the world, and a stone's throw from the port of Rotterdam, the number one in Europe, is above all a logistics superpower.

Unsurprisingly, this is where Nature's Pride is based, one of the continent's largest importers of fruit and vegetables.

It processes some 230 products from more than 58 countries and is mainly home to the European headquarters of Apeel, the Californian company which has set itself the task of transforming a number of these products into long-life UHT foods.
