Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed today that good relations with the countries of the region are among the priorities of Iran's foreign policy, and that his country supports security in the Gulf region.

"The security of the countries of the region is intertwined and Iran supports the security of the Gulf countries," IRNA quoted Raisi as saying during his meeting with the Emirati National Security Adviser Tahnoun bin Zayed, pointing out that "the policy of the enemies of the region's countries provides for raising concerns among neighbors, but it can be thwarted by adhering to wisdom." and mutual understanding between regional countries.

"Good relations with the countries of the region are among the priorities of Iran's foreign policy," Raisi added, stressing "the need for there to be no obstacles in the way of bilateral relations between Iran and the UAE."

In turn, Bin Zayed said, "These meetings will be a turning point in the relations between the two countries and will improve the security situation," expressing "his country's readiness to develop cooperation with Iran."
