The teams of the Kolping Family Miesbach perform 107 appearances with a total of 320 girls and boys in Miesbach.
Occasionally the holy man has to be a little strict, but often enough he can praise the good children.
And it is especially popular when the little ones can recite a poem or sing a nice song.
But it's not as easy for Santa Claus these days as it used to be.
Corona is hot, and that means 2G plus for the seven teams of four that the Kolping Family sends out - each consisting of a Nikolaus, an angel, a Krampus and a driver.
Tests are carried out before the performances.
Angels under the age of twelve are excluded.
Started earlier due to popular demand
Michael Greiner has been with us for almost 30 years.
This makes him one of the longest-serving Santa Clauses in Miesbach.
The Kolping Family Secretary has stated that the demand for a visit is particularly high this year, as it was last year.
That is why the visits started even earlier yesterday, Sunday.
"People are happy that St. Nicholas is coming despite the pandemic," says Greiner.
“You appreciate this normality.
Even last year, when Santa Claus was out and about without Krampus and Engerl, they were happy. ”Because of the current Corona situation, the visits this year will take place outdoors whenever possible - despite the cold.
A problem that many families knew how to solve with a brazier in 2020.
