According to the Ministry of Health, about 0.78 percent of returnees from Thailand are diagnosed as positive for the corona virus, despite the decrease in morbidity in the Asian country.
Sources in the Ministry of Health make it clear that if the increase continues, it is not inconceivable that certain restrictions will be imposed on those returning from Thailand.
The same factors make it clear that over 0.2% of returnees from a particular country who are diagnosed as positive is considered a statistic that can be interpreted as problematic and mark a particular country as dangerous, over 0.4% of patients is defined by experts as causing a deep examination of the same target.
At the same time, tourism companies report that there are quite a few Israelis who are diagnosed in Thailand as verified as part of a series of tests they are forced to undergo.
The verified there are usually transferred to isolation at a local hospital and are allowed to continue walking after recovery.

However, the number of passengers who did not return from Thailand in the last month is relatively low and stands at only about 2,300 returnees, of whom about 18 were diagnosed as positive for the virus, a figure that could slightly soften the decision of Health Ministry officials.
The ministry's senior officials meet once a week to examine the morbidity situation in all countries of the world and one of the significant factors on which they rely in decision making is the verified data that come from each destination, along with the rate of infection in each country.
The highest number of verified returns comes from South Africa with 1.39% positive, 13 verified out of 935 returns.
After Thailand, the highest percentage of verified returns comes from Russia with 0.44%.
Precisely from European countries where there is an increase in morbidity, the percentage of verified people returning to Israel is very low and stands at 0.13% from Germany, 0.04% from Spain, 0.15% from France, 0.03% from Italy, 0.14% from the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Only 0.06% of those diagnosed as positive returned from the United Arab Emirates and 0.11% from the United States, very low numbers that are far from the threshold set by the Ministry of Health according to which a particular country is defined as red.
