WhatsApp today (Monday) added new options for temporary messaging, to make calls more private.
The changes in the app will allow users to automatically hide to all their chats at once, which means that no chat will stay longer than requested.
Users will be able to choose from a number of options the length of time that the messages will appear in the chat and will be available for reading.
In the past, the option was limited to only seven days - but now it will be possible to set the disappearing messages for a period of 24 hours or 90 days, after which the calls will be destroyed.
In fact, if a user does not open WhatsApp during the 24 hour, 7 day or 90 day period, the messages will disappear from the chat.
However, the preview of the message may still be displayed in alerts until they open the app.
Also, if you are responding to a temporary message, the quoted text may continue to appear in the chat even after the selected time period.
Additionally, if a user creates a backup before the message disappears, the temporary message will be included in the backup.
