On the second day of the 32nd Sub- Youth Theater Festival, the National House of Books Theater in Aleppo hosted the theatrical work “Ashes”, written and directed by Muhammad Mulki.
The festival, which is held by the branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union Organization in Aleppo, includes eight performances of different theatrical styles, all of which will be presented on the stage of the National Library in the city.
Muhammad Hegazy, director of the National Library and Director of the National Theater, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the aim of the festival is to support young people and give them an opportunity to express their talents and skills while providing all the capabilities necessary to achieve their ambitions.
Muhammad Mulki, director and author of the play Ashes, explained that it embodies the grayness that resulted from the terrorist war on Syria, especially the issue of the migration of young people and children who lost their families.
Director and actor Ghassan Dahabi, head of the jury at the festival, stressed the role of grassroots organizations in allowing young people to practice their hobbies, especially those who could not study at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, pointing out the importance of these activities that bear national, humanitarian and social values, which contribute to reaching a committed theater that simulates issues humanity.
Theatrical director Noureddine Halabi described the festival as a positive gesture from the Youth Organization by presenting performances that discuss political, humanitarian and civilized issues and ideas and express their aspirations.
