The Public Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir Ezzor announced the return of water pumping at dawn today to neighborhoods in the city of Deir Ezzor, after repairing the fault that occurred the day before yesterday on the raw line and led to the main station being out of service.
A statement by the corporation, which SANA obtained a copy of, said, “After continuous qualitative efforts by the corporation’s workers and technicians to repair the fault on the raw line that led to the main station being out of service, water pumping has resumed to the city’s neighborhoods.”
A malfunction occurred on the raw line, which is of the type of reinforced polyester pipes with a diameter of 500 mm, which led to a water cut off from most of the city's neighborhoods, so that the maintenance workshops in the institution immediately began the process of drilling and maintenance.
