In the eyes of quite a few people across Europe, Muhammad Salah is considered to be the best fit player in the world today.
The Egyptian is sweeping Liverpool to a great season opener with the Mighty Reds a point away from Manchester City, the Premier League leader.
In recent years, Salah has managed to bring quite a bit of respect and pride to his homeland in light of the wonderful ability and achievements he has reached in the kingdom, but since yesterday (Sunday) he has been under attack in Egypt.
The reason?
Salah provided an extensive interview with the MBC network, was asked about his position on the subject of alcohol and said that no alcoholic beverages were needed.
"Here no one is 'pushed' to do something and I have never been in a situation where someone 'pushed' me to drink. Personally, I do not want to drink and do not want to try it."
As far as the citizens of his homeland were concerned, this was a very gentle answer in light of the fact that alcohol is forbidden according to Islam and the star was not determined enough.
